Daily Prayer & Fasting Gathering
At the Whitby Specialty Food Bank, we believe that prayer is one of the ways our community grows stronger together. It is a moment to pause, reflect, and lift one another up with hope and faith.
We invite neighbors, volunteers, and friends of the Whitby Specialty Food Bank to join us for a time of daily prayer and fasting. These gatherings are simple and welcoming spaces where we come together to seek guidance, pray for our community, and support the work being done to serve families across Durham Region.
Whether you are joining from home, work, or wherever you may be, you are welcome to take part.

WSFB Food Handler Review Spring 2026
Join us for a day of learning and community as we gather at the Whitby Specialty Food Bank for a Food Handler Review hosted by Tameika Crann. Participants will spend time refreshing important food safety knowledge while sharing conversation and encouragement with others who care about serving well. A light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided, and we welcome anyone who would like to support the food bank’s ongoing work of helping families across our community.
Mahleeha Shahid & Whitby Specialty Food Bank 6th Annual Food & Toy Drive
A warm community gathering at Sprinkles and Dip. Join us for our Sixth Annual Food and Toy Drive with free hot chocolate or ice cream, and help bless local families by bringing a toy, food item, or winter essential.
Build The Walls & Raise The Roof for Hunger - Gala Fundraiser
Join the Whitby Specialty Food Bank for our 1st Annual Fundraising Gala – Build the Walls & Raise the Roof for Hunger on August 23, 2025 at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex. Enjoy a powerful evening of live performances, food, fellowship, and community impact as we raise funds to support accessible, inclusive food programs across Ontario. Featuring special guests Ayla Pearl, Junior Whisper, Norwill Simmons, and more. All are welcome!
